The Sandhills Scenic Route, Nebraska
Traveling through miles and miles of corn fields, cows, train cars full of coal, interspersed with anti abortion billboards, coming across a small town with as little as 80 people, or a big city of 1500 people, this was the state of Nebraska. We took the scenic route, the Sandhills, and essentially saw communities with a gas station, usually Sinclair, that provided fuel, cauliflower 2 for a dollar, pizza and fried chicken. Bible camps, historical markers, and John Deere. I know my Nebraska people will disagree, but the crazy wind that propelled us to Iowa probably had a purpose.
