Cleveland area RV Park options
Life is Better on the Road is going to have a two day hiatus while Kimberlee does a quick flight back to CA for business. The flights worked well from Cleveland, and we certainly wanted to visit the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame, but Cleveland is not exactly RV paradise. Ah, but Vermilion, OH, oh yes! Vermilion is on Lake Eerie, and is a small town with nice restaurants, quaint homes, and boats, lots of boats!
We chose this RV park for the location. Most campgrounds in the general area we wanted were not well rated and or were full of kids and right next to amusement parks. This park is primarily a seasonal park with long term renters who park their RV and their boat here all summer. The park closes this year October 7 until May 1.
The services are adequate, with power and city water and a dumping station. Located on the river, and only a mile from town, you can’t beat the setting. We also can have enterprise rental car pick us up here, so that we don’t need to move the RV, and Dr. Picasso can settle in for 4 nights.
Linda, the owner, is friendly. The park has been in her family since the 30s, but it hasn’t really been updated much. She only accepts cash, lives on site, and my guess is she travels from October to May since there is no access to the park.
No laundry, no internet, no store or extra services. But if you, like us, want to check out the general area and Cleveland, this is a great choice.
