Keuka Lakefront Dining
Lakeside Restaurant & Tavern Keuka Lake
Dining on Keuka Lake was reminiscent of Lake Tahoe, but quieter and more accessible. We sat outside and watched boats pull up with patrons for the restaurant. Heaven, the waitress, was new, and didn’t know about corkage. She discovered that it was $15, so we brought in our own wine.
We shared the harvest salad, which was very fresh and very local. Greens, tiny tomatoes, cucumber, carrots, dried cranberries and fresh goat cheese. Yum!
Chris had the red snapper etouffee with prawns, wild rice and spinach. I loved my spareribs with gnocchi and mushrooms. Way too much cream and cheese, but I just tried to eat around that! We couldn’t resist the Bailey’s cheesecake....Yes, losing weight on this trip is a goal...clearly a dream...!
The restaurant was lovely inside, and was hosting a rehearsal dinner for a wedding at one of the local wineries.
I can just imagine this place in the summer, bustling and overflowing with tourists and seasonal residents. High quality, amazing views, who could resist? I wanted to move in, but alas, time to go...
