Local Food On The Road
Ken & Dale’s Restaurant, Alliance, Nebraska
In keeping with our eating local theme, we chose Ken & Dales, a restaurant in business for 30 years in Alliance. Chris had the brisket sandwich and potato salad and I had the chicken basket and fries. The brisket was flavorful and lean, and the fried chicken was crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. What more can you ask for? The restrooms were clean, the beer was good, and it had a parking lot big enough for the RV. The added bonus was the people watching and eavesdropping on the neighboring table. Who knew how expensive owning show pigs could be? Who knew anything about show pigs at all? Would I go to Alliance to eat there? No. Would I eat there if I ever went to Alliance again? Most likely.
