Things that make you go hmmmmm
So, we show up to Heritage Valley RV Park in Custer, South Dakota at dusk. Tired, and hoping to set up camp for the night. We had attempted to visit the Crazy Horse Memorial but the visibility was so poor that we could not see anything. Since our ticket was good for 3 days, we thought we would stay close by and try again tomorrow.
The park had good reviews, and we pulled up to see that there were definitely sites available. When I climbed the stairs to the office, a sign was posted: Sites are electric only. Hm. Didn’t I pass by people who were hooked up to water? I asked the gentleman on duty, I see your sign, but do you really only have electric available. Office dude: yep. Oh, I thought I would ask because I see people hooked up to water. Dude: nope. Okie dokie. So I go ask hubby, can we survive without water tonight? Our tank was full enough so I go back in and pay for our space 19. I said, is this no water a recent problem? Dude: we are cutting the water off for the season. Oh, says I , just wondering since everyone seems hooked up to water. Dude. We are cutting it off for the season. Ok, I say, I was just wondering. Dude: I don’t want to rent it to anyone with water because I don’t know when we are cutting it off. It will be soon. Me: Ok, thanks. Pays 23 bucks and goes and tells hubby to fill the water tank and disconnect. Clearly, there is water. Dude!!!!
