Thanksgiving in Austin
Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday, because I love to cook and bake and entertain family. Being on the road, there didn’t seem much point to trying to cook a feast for 2 in the RV. We had planned on eating at Moonshine Grill in downtown Austin. Holiday buffet, and no reservations required or taken. We arrived at 1pm to see at least one hundred, no I am not exaggerating, people waiting outside. Plan B was the 24 Diner, and that was slightly better with only an hour and a half wait. But what to our wondering eyes did appear but an open Whole Foods Store! We had such a great feast back at our RV. Moist turkey, creamy mashed potatoes, dressing, gravy, green beans, and pumpkin pie! Added bonus: No one uses the laundry room on Thanksgiving day so we were able to take it over and complete all our laundry in one shot! Thankful indeed!
