Leaf Peepers
Scarlet, Vermillion, orange, amber, gold, Yellow, gold. The trees put on a dazzling display for us in Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine. They must have known that I was coming, and that one of my life long dreams was to see the fall foliage in the East. As we drove down the gorgeous Kancamagus highway, route 112, through Vermont I couldn’t stop exclaiming: Beautiful. Gorgeous. Stunning. Oh my!
There were too many tour busses, and people stopping in the middle of the road to take pictures. It reminded me of Yellowstone, only they wanted Leaf photos instead of Bison.
We chose to just breathe in the beauty and accept the fact that no photo will ever capture the totality of the color, the crisp air, or the emotion.
The Fall is not over yet, and we may well see more of nature’s display. But, if not, I can die a happy woman with a dream fulfilled!
